The Professional Engineer 1 (Environmental) will serve as the program manager for the water program in the Hornell District Office. The position will aid the Hornell District Office by completing plan reviews, performing sanitary surveys of public water systems (PWSs), regulating PWSs and mass gatherings, providing technical assistance to staff and the public, and issuing violations/enforcement actions to non-compliant facilities. The Hornell District Office's water program currently regulates 231 public water systems and reviews approximately 120 sets of plans each year.

Salary Range:
From $81912 to $103405 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Reassignment & Transfer Opportunities:
Current New York State Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent permanent status as a Professional Engineer 1 (Environmental), Grade 24, or current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent permanent competitive service as a Professional Engineer 1, Grade 24.
