Equipment Shop Manager

  Job ID:  145764   Position Overview Oversee and manage repairs and maintenance duties performed by mechanics on machinery and equipment both in the shop and in the field under direction of the Equipment Manager and by performing the following duties.   Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Direct activities of workers, establish and enforce operating procedures and work standards that will ensure adequate performance and personnel safety. Manage mobile equipment, repairs and expenditures. Scheduling of workload and mechanics using OMG Work Order system at multiple shop locations. Inspect  completed  work  to  ensure  conformance  to  specifications,  standards  and  contract requirements. Mentor and train Mechanics. Monitor project activities to ensure that instructions are followed, deadlines are met, and schedules are maintained. Provide workers with assistance in performing duties as necessary to meet deadlines. Identify and resolve regulator, safety, personnel and equipment operational problems in a timely and effective manner.      Collaborate and interact with other departments to integrate best business processes with our vendors, operations, and all levels of management.   Additional Responsibilities Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual. Strict adherence to Dolomite policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.  Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   Education/Experience 5 or more years in a management roll -- formal training a plus. Project Managementexperience a plus.
